The Liberation War of 1971 was not only fought on the battlefield but also in hospitals, makeshift camps, and refugee shelters. While freedom fighters carried weapons, doctors carried stethoscopes, scalpels, and medicine—often in short supply. Their role was critical in saving lives, maintaining morale, and supporting the struggle for independence.

আজ কিছু কথা পরিষ্কার করে বলি। আমরা সবাইকে বিনোদন দেই। আমরা প্রকৃতঅর্থে বীর নই। আমাদের সত্যিকার বীর হচ্ছেন মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা। আমরা দেশের জন্য কোন কিছু বিসর্জন দিই নি, মুক্তিযোদ্ধারা দিয়েছেন। আমাকে ভূল বুঝবেন না- ক্রিকেট কিন্তু জীবনের সবকিছু নয়। আমরা শুধুমাত্র চেষ্টা করি আমাদের দেশের মানুষকে খুশী করতে

“সে এখন মৃত। তার শরীর ঘিরে থোকা থোকা কৃষ্ণচূড়ার মতো ছড়িয়ে রয়েছে রক্ত, তাজা লাল রক্ত। তার থ্যাতলানো একখানা হাত পড়ে আছে এদেশের মানচিত্রের ওপর, আর সে হাত থেকে ঝরে পড়ছে রক্তের দুর্বিনীত লাভা”
